Semi-final results…
Charles, Rob defeated Putt Pirates 39-11
Bill, John defeated Schmitts Creek 36-14
I’ll just acknowledge the birdies here. Bill Hobek birdied number 10 and Rob Geotz birdied number 13.
I also heard a rumor Mike Doll had a birdie, but I didn’t collect the scorecard to confirm.
CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Our championship match will be #7 seed Bill Hobek and John Coop versus #17 seed Charles Fry and Rob Goetz. Charles and Rob have already won four playoff matches to get to this point, starting all they way back in the play in round. These teams did play during the regular season, with Charles and Rob winning the match 32-18.

PRIZE MONEY
As I was walking out last night, the guy at the desk stopped me and advised me that I can have the gift certificates made out how I want. I had assumed each team would get two ten dollar gifts cards.
But finding out I can allocate these as I want, I’ve made an executive decision to use this money as prize money. I think the amount is $400 (if I am wrong, I’ll have to issue a correction), so I am going to disperse as follows…
LEAGUE CHAMPION - next week’s winners will get $75 each.
DIVISION WINNERS - Dingers Ringers and Shootist 1 will get $50 each
PLAYER OF THE YEAR - Evan Kohler, 176 points scored, $25
SUB OF THE YEAR - Trevor Heinrich, 80 points scored, $25
For the division winers, both of those teams have more than two players. I’m going to give the gift certificates to the team member(s) who are there. Y’all can fight over who gets what.
Player of the Year and Sub of the Year are awards for the individuals who scored the most points in match play as individuals. That was Evan for the full time golfers and Trevor for the subs.
If you did win a prize, please be sure to stop in at the clubhouse after the round. I don’t see most of you away from golf, and it is really a lot easier if you collect next Tuesday night.
